Why is everyone searching for organic toilet paper?

Picture this – it’s a post-pandemic world and you’re at a dinner party. You excuse yourself to go to the bathroom. When you return, the host asks, “What did you think of the toilet paper? It’s organic!”

We hate to break it to you, but they’re probably (definitely) lying to you. Organic toilet paper doesn’t exist. You probably shouldn’t eat the food they cooked for you either.

Still, for some reason, people are Googling for organic toilet paper more than ever. And while ours may not be organic (because that’s not a real thing), we can proudly (humble)brag that our toilet paper is a bunch of other stuff.

Not organic, but 100% recycled

That’s the claim to fame for our 100% recycled toilet paper. Made from recycled fibres like post consumer waste paper (think office paper and textbooks), it’s the roll with the lowest environmental impact. Did we mention it’s also biodegradable? Plus it looks super duper cute on the back of your loo.

Not organic, but 100% bamboo

Our other super soft roll. This one’s even more cushy for your tushie, while still maintaining its eco-friendly status. We use bamboo because it’s actually a grass, so it grows incredibly fast after harvesting. Plus it’s biodegradable, so no clogging up the planet. We love keeping Mama Nature happy.

Not organic, but good for your bum

You won’t find any inks, dyes, or rosy scents here. No siree. We like scents best when they’re not synthetic. But unfortunately, the ones used in toilet paper almost always are. Make sense?

Not organic, but carbon neutral shipping

Sounds fancy because, well, it is. It basically means we pay for carbon offsets that are equal to the carbon we produce so there are no net carbon emissions in the atmosphere. We’re also working to implement renewable energy at different points in our supply chain. Ok fancy pants, read more about it here.

Not organic, but B corp certified

This tick of approval means we’re certified for the highest standards of social and environmental impact. Have been since 2016. And we’ve won a few awards over the years too. Like Best For Community 3 years in a row (and counting!)

Not organic, but helping reduce deforestation

27,000 trees are cut down every day to make toilet paper. On top of that, over 75,000 square kilometres of forest are lost each year. That’s 27 soccer fields every minute. By using recyclable fibres and bamboo alternatives, we’re reducing that number with every person who subscribes. Score!

Not organic, but doing good for the world

Did you know more than 2 billion people don’t have access to loos? Without toilets filtering waste, communities are more susceptible to diseases. Not to mention, a safe place to do your business is a basic human right. We’re changing that, one bottom at a time. 50% of our profits are donated to help build toilets around the world.

We’re a toilet paper company that knows organic toilet paper doesn’t exist. But maybe we missed the memo. If you know something we don’t, please comment below. Or try the next best thing that actually exists here!
