B Corp™ is shorthand for Certified B Corporations. This certification is given by a third party (the non-profit, B Lab) to for profit companies that meet the highest standards of impact along a number of axes: social and environmental performance, governance, transparency and legal accountability. The goal is to educate the public (and the business community!) about balancing profit with purpose and using business as a force for good.

Basically, it means that we’re doing good and that somebody else can attest to it.

But how much good? Well, B Lab actually gives scores for their certifications. Ours is 125.5 (for context, the global average is 50.9). We’ve also won the “Best For The World” award 4 times in a row. Ok, now we’re really just bragging. But it’s hard not to, we’re proud!

How did we get such accolades? Well, by caring a lot about people, the planet and our team. Three of the key drivers behind our stellar score are our social impact, environmental impact and employer impact. 

Social impact

As you know, we donate 50% of profits to help ensure everyone has access to clean water and a toilet. These simple tools have a huge effect on communities’ physical, financial and emotional wellbeing. It’s the whole reason we exist as a business and we won’t slow down until everyone around the world has access to proper sanitation. 

Environmental impact

We care a whole lot about Mama Earth. It’s why all our products are plastic free and made thoughtfully with sustainable materials. We work to eliminate our greenhouse gas emissions and offset the shipping emissions we can’t control. Plus, we’ve helped millions of people realise their bathroom habits were contributing to deforestation!
