Puppies are cute, but let’s give it up for the real underdogs.
Quokkas
Nicknamed “The World’s Happiest Animal,” quokkas may be the flirtiest little marsupials that ever were. No joke, a video called Quokka wants a cuddle made us cry literal tears of joy. Tears! With a capital T!
Bat-eared foxes
These little nuggets aren’t just stupidly cute, they’re also bona fide feminist icons. After a brief lactation, the mums go out in the fields to forage for food while the papa foxes stay home to care for the babes. Basically, these ladies are the Beyoncé of foxes.
Wombats
We are obsessed with wombats’ strange, cubic poos for obvious reasons. Wombat droppings have similarly baffled scientists for ages… until now! Turns out, they absorb every bit of moisture in their food because their environments are so dry, resulting in these unbelievably angular poos.
Capybaras
They’re the world’s largest rodent (literally!) with the world’s largest hearts. Don’t believe us? Check out this capybara nuzzling a dog and try not to squee. What we wouldn’t give to see that rom-com on the big screen. Do you think Hugh Jackman is available? He’d make an excellent capybara.
Star-nosed moles
We know that these swamp fellas look a bit, ahem, unique, but don’t judge a mole by its honker! Their super sensitive, star-shaped snouts make them the world’s fastest eaters (#relatable) and they may even hold secrets to help ease human pain!
You know what else is underrated?
Unfortunately, the planet! Pick up our 100% recycled toilet paper to show the earth a little extra love. They’re a super easy way to help protect the forests for your new favourite animal friends.
