What does recycled toilet paper really feel like?
Maybe you’ve had a bad experience using recycled products in the past. Or you just hear the word “recycled” and instantly clench your cheeks together. While our 100% recycled toilet paper isn’t the softest thing on earth (this dog wins that award), we think it does a pretty good job of being both comfy and strong. All while helping reduce deforestation and build toilets!
Why is it not as soft as the supermarket stuff?
Let’s not beat around the bush, or the whole forest for that matter. There’s a slight difference in feel compared to a brand that uses virgin trees. The recycled paper we use has been recycled multiple times before it’s revived into its final form as recycled toilet paper. That means the fibres we’re working with aren’t as strong as a brand new fibre you’d get from a tree. That being said, we do our best to make sure our recycled TP is still comfy and strong and gets the job done.
So, what *exactly* do we make our recycled toilet paper from?
The list is endless! Our recycled TP is made from post consumer waste paper, predominantly from schools and offices. That’s paper that’s already in circulation. It can include anything from book reports and notebooks to office memos and to-do lists!
What does it feel like? Hard to describe. Maybe this will help?
A hug from Big Bird
A sunflower leaf
A scruffy puppy
A cotton turtleneck
A nice rug
We also rounded up some of our most honest reviews. Here’s what other people like you have to say about our 100% recycled TP:
“The toilet paper is softer than any other recycled product I've used.” - Helen
“When I told my husband I wanted to get recycled toilet paper, he told me we should consider separate stashes for the different bathrooms in our house since he was afraid of roughness. When he tried it the first time he immediately gave the paper his stamp of approval and we will use this company from now on!” - Carrie
